Article processing charge

The Sulaimani Dental Journal promotes open-access research while maintaining high publication standards. To cover the costs of editorial processes, peer review, production, and online hosting, the journal applies Article Processing Charges (APCs) for accepted manuscripts.

1. APC Fees

• The APC for each accepted article is 250,000 IQD.
• There are no submission fees; charges apply only after the manuscript is accepted for publication.
• Payment must be completed before the article is officially published.

2. Waivers and Discounts

• The journal offers partial or full waivers for authors from low-income countries or those facing financial hardship.
• Requests for waivers must be submitted at the time of manuscript submission and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

3. Payment Process

• Authors will receive an APC invoice upon acceptance of their manuscript.
• Normally, payments can be made via the accountant's office at the College of Dentistry—University of Sulaimani, and a copy of the formal payment receipt should be submitted to the journal office. If this method is not feasible for the author, kindly contact the journal ([email protected]) for arranging an alternative payment method.

4. No Additional Charges

• There are no extra fees for color figures, supplementary materials, or extended articles.

All published articles remain freely accessible to readers under the journal’s open-access policy.
